Global Graphics begins to provide consultancy and proof of concept development services to Microsoft for their new XML-based Page Description Language and document format. “Metro” will be the new print and document format for all Microsoft operating systems going forward.

IPO on Easdaq (became Nasdaq Europe) at Euro 5.79 per share. Jim Freidah joins Global Graphics as Vice President of Business Development. Acquisition of Kelleigh (USA) and AZ (Italy), main competitors of Photomeca, resulting in Global Graphics becoming the worldwide leader in the manufacturing of flexographic printing process pre-press equipment.
