Global Graphics Software is a leading developer of software platforms on which OEMs, ISVs and system integrators create solutions for digital printing and electronic document applications.
Customers include leading brands such as HP, Corel, Quark, Kodak and Agfa. The roots of the company go back to 1986 and to Cambridge University, and, today the majority of the R&D team is still based near this university town. There are also offices near Boston, Massachusetts and in Tokyo.

our software RIPs offer outstanding performance, quality and reliability for high-volume, ultra high-volume and wide format digital printing applications. We also offer color management, multi-bit screening, imposition and trapping technologies.Electronic documents
our gDoc platform allows ISVs to quickly fine-tune applications to add value to their products, reducing time to market. We specialize in file format conversion, notably PDF creation, as well as user-friendly productivity tools for organizing and sharing documents.Office printing
through our agreements with the leading chip manufacturers, such as Intel, Marvell and Conexant, we can offer the printer/MFP manufacturer their choice of hardware platform on which to embed our RIP software SDK, with a choice of multiple Page Description Languages including PostScript, PCL, PDF and XPS.Our licensing model
Our software solutions are typically sold under technology agreements with OEMs, ISVs and system integrators. The length of these agreements varies according to the commercial arrangements. Global Graphics Software’s research and development team comprises international experts on Page Description Languages, document formats and color science. Our existing patent portfolio covers many areas of printing and document technology while numerous patent applications will protect our future inventions.
Industry standards and compatibility
Global Graphics has always taken an active role in industry standards setting bodies and associations. Today our Chief Technology Officer is the UK primary expert on the International Standards Organization (ISO) for PDF, for PDF/A (the standard for archiving electronic documents) and for PDF/VT (the standard for use of PDF in variable data print workflows).
We were one of the founder members of CIP4, the international body that promotes the integration of processes in pre-press, press and post- press and chaired CGATS, the Committee for Graphic Arts Technical Standards, for many years. In 2007 Global Graphics was elected to chair ECMA TC46 the technical committee of ECMA International that worked on producing an industry standard for the XPS print and document format.
