Traditional production print

traditional production print theme
For commercial printing you need robust and reliable RIP software that gives ROI through high-performance, quality and efficiency. Global Graphics’ Harlequin RIP was first used in a production system in 1988. Today its successors are the RIPs relied upon in production-intensive and time-critical environments. It drives a vast number of output devices, is compatible with industry standards and has a rich set of in-RIP features to increase productivity.

PDF and PostScript in one RIP

Your customers need the ability to handle mixed workflows and a RIP that can process PostScript and PDF natively in one engine will be more efficient. They will get faster performance and more accurate file rendition. Integration is easier too with only one RIP interface to learn so there is less of a training overhead for your customers. The Harlequin RIP has processed PostScript files natively since 1988 and PDF files natively since 1997, including rendering of live PDF transparency since 2002.

Workflow features

Workflow functionality in the RIP means increased efficiency and reduced costs. The Harlequin RIP has a rich feature set which includes many pre-press processes which are normally run on separate applications, such as imposition, trapping, color management and screening, reducing the requirement for additional applications.

Using a well-respected name at a sensible price point

Since its introduction into a production system in 1988 Global Graphics’ Harlequin RIP has earned a reputation for performance, quality and reliability at a sensible price point. Global Graphics continues to invest significant resources in the development of this technology.

Output devices

Drive your pre-press and printing equipment using one RIP that is simple for your customers to use. They will benefit from working in one common operating environment and will achieve consistency of output across plate-making, CtP, proofing devices, digital presses and inkjet printers.

Standards and compatibility

Global Graphics has always been actively involved in industry bodies that are working on standards. Global Graphics appreciates there is tension between compliance with technical specifications and compatibility with real-world print jobs and takes a pragmatic approach. Jobs have to run!
