XPS print reference RIP

In December 2006, Global Graphics was pleased to deliver to Microsoft an XPS Print Reference RIP, which can be found on Microsoft’s website. The release of this Reference RIP was the culmination of three years of work with Microsoft which included consultancy on the XPS specification. The Reference RIP is an openly available test vehicle that allows hardware and software vendors to create prototypes, familiarize themselves with the compliancy requirements needed to meet the XPS specification and to examine the quality of XPS printed output against the specification.

Beyond the Reference RIP Global Graphics has created a full range of commercially available XPS RIP and XPS Conversion products for licence to both hardware and software vendors. These products include host driver-based, embedded, and server-based XPS RIPs which contain the most advanced RIP feature set in the market, achieve industry leading high performance output levels and have an extensive API which allows customization and integration of OEM specific technology including screening, color, fonts, and object level controls. They enable the building of solutions that are fully compliant with the Windows Hardware Quality Labs testing requirements that qualify a device for Vista™ Premium Logo status.
