Group Financial Controller

This is a newly created role brought about through continued business growth. Reporting into the Group CFO, you will take ownership of the group’s financial reporting.  This includes the preparation of the interim and annual consolidated financial statements for the Group, the statutory accounts for the UK subsidiaries and the monthly management accounts for some UK and US subsidiaries.

This role could suit a candidate looking to make their first or second move from practice to commerce.


Cambourne, Cambridge UK, but working from home until COVID restrictions are lifted. Collaborative/remote working is facilitated via Microsoft Office and Atlassian tools.


  • Qualified chartered Accountant ACCA/CIMA/ACA
  • Strong technical knowledge in accounting and IFRS
  • Experience of working within an international group, including preparation of consolidated financial statements prepared under IFRS
  • Good knowledge of reporting systems and processes (knowledge of Netsuite would be an advantage)
  • Previous experience in a global/multi-office organization
  • Good awareness of taxation
  • Must be self-motivated and proactive to continuously improve systems, processes and reporting

Responsibilities include

  • Preparation of consolidated annual financial statements and half year interim statements under IFRS, including all working papers and supporting schedules
  • Monthly management accounts
  • UK subsidiary statutory accounts
  • Manage the Group's intercompany accounting
  • Assist with ensuring compliance with IFRS 15 Revenue and IFRS 16 Leases
  • Assist with IFRS and technical Group accounting matters
  • Provide technical accounting support on key transactions as required
  • Provide assistance and support to Group auditors concerning external financial reporting and annual audits
